Movies to see

Winter break officially ends today…. That went unbelievably fast! Time for school again…what a drag. Well best of luck to everyone on their first day of classes back. I have a break at 12:30-1:30 every day, so if anyone has that too, lets have lunch!

I’ve decided to compile a list of movies I want to see, especially because if I don’t write them down, I’ll never remember. Anyone care to join me in watching any or all these? These are a mix of movies that are in theaters or have been released on DVD.

300

3:10 to Yuma

Alpha Dog

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Atonement

August Rush

Bee Movie

Cars

Cashback

Catch and Release

Disturbia

Enchanted

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (I heard this was bad..but I just have to see it)

Fracture

Freedom Writers

Hachimitsu to Clover

Juno

Knocked Up

Letters from Iwo Jima

Paprika

Premonition

Shrek the Third

Sono Toki Wa Kare Ni Yoroshiku ^

Spider Man 3

Superbad

Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru

Tales from Earthsea

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT)

The Bucket List

The Great Debaters

War

whoot, thats a pretty nice list!

Recent movies I’ve seen that I really enjoy and recommend are:

5 Centimeters Per Second (Byosoku Go Senchimetoru)- A beautifully made anime that is told through a chain of stories about long distance love.

Ima Ai Ni Yukimasu – This is a cute love story. No highs, no lows, just heartwarming 🙂 (There is also a drama series to this, which I thought was wayyy better, but this is good as well- Link to watch the drama, click here! )

Helen the Baby Fox – It’s about a boy that picks up a baby fox who is blind and deaf. Above is a preview of the movie, but if you click the link that I put on the title of the movie, you can watch it on youtube subbed.

The 3 movies I recommend are in the same genre and Japanese as I have just noticed. Mostly because I haven’t seen a really good movie here in a long time. The Simpsons Movie was awesome..but other than that, I can’t really think of REALLY outstanding movies I’ve sent recently.

I know there are still a bunch missing from my list, so if anyone has any recommendations lemme know!

  1. save spiderman 3 for the big screen! I haven’t seen it yet. From what peter said about tale of Eartsea, it wasn’t so great. but yeah, i got a bunch to watch as well! now i got a monitor to watch it on 🙂

  2. I’d join you but it’s practically impossible haha. One movie I do wanna see is Stardust (book was fantastic), but it’s no longer in theaters and hasn’t yet been released onto DVD.

“Superbad” is funny. I liked it a lot.

  3. time for a movie night this weekend or next! maybe we can do my house. i donno we shall see. i will totally watch some of those movies with you.

  4. I have disturbia and 300 so if you want to watch them they are at the condo! I’m so up for watching atonement, juno etc etc! please invite me when you go see (although I may work in the mornings so early showtimes are better for me if possible, if not, no big). we’ll plan something soon though!
