County Cafe is a homey restaurant in little village in Bothell that looks like it never hit modernity :). It’s a easy place to find and perhaps I’ll wander the tiny old-fashion town one day. But ok! The service is quite wonderful! They checked up on us often, but not so many times that it was obnoxious. Food wise, the portions were quite generous. The biscuits there are the size of giant cupcakes and taste homemade-delicious. I ordered a pretty mediocre meal of just an sunny-side up egg, country fried potatoes, and sausage, so I couldn’t really tell you if the food was fantastic. It was good, but you can’t really go wrong with the kind of meal I got right? O, and I also ordered a chocolate milk and I believe it was whole milk… good..but horrible at the same time. So, overall I give this place a 3.5/5 for its good food and cheerful service.

To go or not to go: I think it’s definitely worth a try

This was my first time eating actual ramen! Kaname Izakaya and Shochu Bar is a Japanese restaurant that has a comfortable atmosphere to it. The place is nicer than a lot of the restaurants in Chinatown and they try to have a traditional yet modern feel to it; it’s quite appealing! As you walk in, you get greeted in Japanese and the service is just as welcoming. There isn’t a plethora to pick from but it was satisfying menu nonetheless. I ordered a combo that had ramen with gyoza. It came with 4 pieces of gyoza which are fresh, crispy and delicious (not typical meaty gyoza either). The ramen contained a slice of pork (stingy!), half a boiled egg and the broth tasted only so-so. It definitely wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t flavorful. Fortunately for me though, I didn’t order the miso ramen like my brother, which tasted unbelievably bland! Overall, the ramen was ok, the gyoza was fantastic, and and the service was friendly. This receives a 2.5/5 mainly because I highly enjoyed the gyoza =)

To go or not to go: It’s a nice place and I might end up going back to try out other dishes there, but don’t go for the ramen
